Roomies

Space ... at last!

Priya spent the first night in her crib on Saturday.  She has been sleeping well in the bassinet in our room, but its starting to be a tight fit.  She was delighted at the extra space and spent a while stretching her arms out, kicking her legs up, and rolling around.  Kiran went to bed about an hour later (in the same room), and they were both content and happy to see one another in the morning.  We're optimistic that sharing a room will work.  The trick will be getting Kiran to go to bed quietly after Priya is asleep.  Last night Priya woke up as he was going to bed and she was fussy for a bit.  He had trouble ignoring this and he kept yelling "Mommy, Priya's awake!"   I know buddy, I can hear every peep you little angels make on the monitor.  

Still friends the morning after

Kiran started in the 3 year old classroom this week.  His new teacher's name is Miss Jen.  They have little jobs in this class, like feeding the fish, ringing the cleanup bell, and waving the flag.  He got to ring the bell yesterday.  He will be in this class for the summer, and then he will move up to the preschool room.   The first time we mentioned him moving up to preschool he cried and got really upset.  "But I'm not a big boy, I'm a little boy!"  He is warming up to the idea and tonight he mentioned that when he's a big boy he will jump into the pool.  We need to get him started with swim lessons so that he knows what to do next!
