July update

We have been busy here and it feels like our time is slipping away!   We fly home on August 11 and we still have so much to do before then.   We have no choice but to return for a longer visit!

The kids are doing really well.  We went to the Steiner playgroup again and the kids enjoyed the activities.  They planted bulbs that we took home and they baked bread.  Kiran warmed up to the activities and Priya has been "playing" playgroup at home.  She is really good at remembering names and likes to assign roles.  We had a fun little picnic after playgroup with their homemade bread and some other goodies.

The local kids have been on winter term school holidays for the last 2 weeks.  We have had some good playdates and movie nights with Bowen and Jarvis.  Kiran and Bowen like to play legos together and play hide and seek.  Priya and Jarvis tag along together and hold hands going down the slide!  We coordinated babysitters on Friday night, and had a fun dinner at a Japanese restaurant with Rob and Sal.   It is so nice to have friends here and nice to watch the kids become friends too!

Ram has been busy with work and he is submitting several conference papers on Monday.  I visited Royal North Shore Hospital on Friday and gave a research talk at the Institute of Bone and Joint Research.  It was a great visit and some new collaborations are in the works.   I am visiting another rheumatology group on Friday.
