We just returned from a great wintry weekend at the beach! We headed up to Bilgola, a northern beach suburb of Sydney, on Friday afternoon. Sal's parents live "ten steps from the beach" in the house her grandfather built and we bunked up in their downstairs flat. The kids had a blast playing on the beach and jumping the waves. Kiran mastered his sand surfing technique and Priya got really good at digging. It was a little cold, but the sky was clear and beautiful. This morning we took a hike up the cliff and saw dolphins jumping! The view was amazing. We brought home pockets of sea shells and cruised back across the Sydney harbor bridge tonight.
